Are you tired of all those sissy-ass "friendship" poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a series of promises that really speaks to true friendship:

I've been thinking about writing some poetry cause I've got a lot of phrases spinning around in my head. I might do that tommorow. Anywho, Saturday shall be my birthday party at Dave and busters. Should be pretty righteous. If people on here want to come and weren't personally invited worry not, please come. I was trying to keep it small (people I see weekly) but it's kinda gotten out of control. Anyway people are meeting at 7 at my apt and leaving at 7:30. These here are exciting times. I feel like I might actually do something of importance in my life. Just out of the blue I get this feeling. The artist in me is dying to come out.
Tommorow I have to clean the apt like a demon and I'm also going to rent Jim Gaffagan's (sp) video cause he's just too funny. Might rent the Enron movie too. It's trivia night so it will be a lovely day off. I'm so sleeping in late.
Still havent seen Capote. Kris bailed on me tonight, as expected. :) lol Meanwhile she says she's getting me a great birthday present. I can hardly wait.
I may go to the Soulard Mardi Gras parade. I just have to find some people to go with me. Maybe my sister. Hmm.

It was a question that couldn't be phrased better. Alecia this chick that works in cosmetics asked me on Thursday and my reply: "I got felt up."
It was kinda unexpected since I didn't have a date (though I asked Kris and Jessie to be my Valentines since we were all three alone for the day) and totally appreciated. Not much more to say but I had a great V-day. I guess I could say more but I don't know how to write about it on here without looking like.. i don't know what.

well my health has been not so great lately but I didn't come here to gripe about that.
I came to gripe that I just found out Arrested Development has been given the axe. I want to cry but it doesn't seem real yet. The show's been cut to 13 episodes. Please watch every one of them. And let me know if there's a writing campaign or something. Maybe we can get it on Comedy Central or something.

omb i put the heater on at 69 degrees (it was 67) and the damn smoke alarm went off!!! Kris work up and I couldn't get the damn thing to turn off and so I pulled it off the wall. I hope this won't be a continual problem any time we heat the place. it's just too cold.
stupid life saving equipment.... it was so shrill.. bah! now it sits on our kitchen counter. I'll try to reattach it tommorow.

Big news all around.
I finally got fed up with my job and am transferring to a different store closer to my apt (10 min) and all. Also will be away from evil coworker and getting paid more to boot. I will miss my friends at work terribly. I'll also see the fam less cause I won't have excuses to drop by as often.
Tommorow (er later today) I'm buying my fiona concert ticket. i don't think anybody is going to go with me. that makes me sad. It's 4 hours away.
Last night went to see Elizabethtown. It was all right. Not like all good, but it was ok. I had issues with certain characters egos. And the storyline. I'm sure it would have been much better as a book or even reading the initial screenplay, but as a movie it's just too all over the place. Toni bought me a drink tonight and it was very good to help celebrate my "promotion" as it were. Very good.
We went to crazy bowls and wraps beforehand. My sister came along, it was a surprise to me but she wanted to do something and called me just when I was leaving work. We got our food last and joined the table last. It was weird Toni and Erich were sitting in the middle of the table and Kris and Beaver were sitting on either side of them but not across from one another and I thought that was kinda weird cause my sister isn't neccessarily friends with them (she's done stuff with us before as a group but she doesn't call any of them to hang out or nothing and vice versa.. they're my friends) and would have been separated from me while we ate. So I asked Beaver if he could move to be across from Kris. I don't know if this offended people or seemed rude (maybe it was, Emily Post I'm not) but I thought it was odd though that we wouldn't have sat across from one another since nobody's really friends with Marissa and I didn't want it to be awkward for her. I don't know people have seemed kinda edgy. Maybe I'm imagining it.
In other news. Somebody in my life isn't recognizing boundries. It was such a direct assault on my personal space/privacy that I can't even believe it happened and I am still too shocked (not as shocked as I'd be to find feces on a suit at work, but still pretty shocked) to say anything or know how to bring it up esp since I know sometimes I'm not perfect (see the CBW story above actually lol). I know it's hard to believe. That's all I'm saying on that matter.
I'm really cold I need to get under the blankets. Roomate Kris mentioned being cold today after movie but then she also gets really hot at night and her room is really hot so I don't even know if turning on the heater is a good idea at all. She even said "you can turn it on but not too hot." Well how hot is too hot? I don't understand. I'd rather grin and bear the cold than to hear more about not being able to sleep at night because it's too hot. Any advice on the matter? It's a loft apt so all the heat gets sent up to her room anyway.. ahhh.. but I wouldn't mind the heater cause I am fricking freezing right now typing and out of the covers. Maybe I'll put it on just a little bit.. cause it's a cold night.

Ok just before the big stuff. I have moved to an apartment. I do not have DSL yet because SBC is being mean to me. I am staying at my dad's for the time being because our power went out Saturday at 4 pm and is still not working yet, as is for 7000 other people in my zip code.
Anyway FIONA'S CD WILL BE RELEASED OCT 4!!! :)
Contains all the songs previously leaked but remastered and with a new producer. You can view the new site and also have a listen at the new "oh, Sailor" and a completely new song "Parting Gift". Oh sailor I noticed has sped up and has more strings and drums. The strings remind me of tidal.. I don't know what the drums remind me of. Also the vocal back up of Fi on Fi.. odd, but I'm ok with it.
I can't wait.

Well... got off work a bit ago and no message from the apartment so that means they called Kris and not me or they won't let us know till Monday. It was supposed to take 2-3 days to know for sure if we get approved.
There was a note.. from my doctor, it said to call her back on Monday and that it wasn't urgent but I'm worried. Lucky me, I get to worry about two things all weekend.
Work is ok.. I feel out of wack and I can't get all the things I need to get done. I swear I'm gone 1 1/2 weeks and the place goes to total shit. I worked mainly on straightening but it really didn't help much and then we got more dockers in so I worked on that area and then on clearance and kept flip flopping because it's just too much *tears out hair*.. oh well.

5:18 pm - Movin' On Up

Well my vacation is over after today and I can only say that the prospect of going back to work really really sucks. However there was one small light to look forward too. Kris and I applied and put down a security deposit on a 2 br 2 bath loft apartment today. We'll find out Fri or Monday if we get in.
Also will be getting by brakes checked. I wish I hadn't had to spend so much time doing the apt shopping thing. It takes too long and it's a chore to drive up north every day in the morning and not get to sleep in. I had about one day to sleep in, the Sunday after the wedding.. that was my day to enjoy and also July 4, I slept in for that too.
Plus I wanted to look for a new job. Oh well. I think it was a productive vacation. The wedding was great. There was only one problem with the limo service and after we got on the road things got better and it turned out really well.
